For myself, entering the family fold in a slightly more unique way than most, she has always been very welcoming, thoughtful and caring towards me. In essence, it was not hard to think of her as my Nana too, someone special to me.

She tackled her illness, the way she appeared to tackle her life, with faith, hope, determination and courage. Thinking of others, looking after and out for them too. When anyone put even the slightest investment into her, she was simply delighted and she made it clear to all that she really appreciated it.
